Tonight is a prime example of why I don't party much
Alcohol brings out the worst in people. Like, the worst.
Tonight is a prime example. A good friend of mine had too much to drink and passed out on the floor. Some dude got under the covers with her, dry humped her, and if myself and someone else didn’t step in, it could have gotten a lot worse.
Later, the host of the party and his girlfriend started to argue a bit. It escalated, and before long, we could all hear shouting. His mom and her brother were both there and all 4 got involved and then things got….. interesting. I see the door open and the GF and Brother get out, and my friends dog ran out. I chased after him with another, so I am not sure what happened next. I could hear them shouting over a block away, and after getting the dog back, came back to an intense situation. Several people (other patrons of the party) and my friend (the host) all had cuts, bruises, and his mother was beyond pissed.
The night ended with mostly everyone left in the garage smoking hookah while myself, the girl (now awakened by all the screams and slightly more sober) and the host ended up in the basement. He was in tears, she wasn’t having a good week to begin with and was aware that something did happen when she was passed out, and myself trying to figure out what happened. Trying to see if they both were okay, it just seemed hopeless.
The sad thing is, I kind of like playing damage control. I really do enjoy being there for friends when they need it the most.
But people suck. Seriously. And so does alcohol. AHHHHHHHHH good night ruined.
